How to create a stealthy interior, black.
I followed this write up and did my entire enterior headliner and all. Took about 7 cans of paint to do but it came out b!tchin!! nothing like an comepletely black interior. I just wiped down the surfaces very clean, i've heard using rubbing alcohol works very well. But about 4 coats for every piece and that's it. Getting the headliner out of the car was a PITA but it came out great. I'm hoping to get some pics up by this weekend.
I saw an evo with a radio surround that was black and matched the rest of the interior texture wise, asked and he said it was stock. Now I'm beating my head trying to find the year/model that had it.
Like the guy above me, does anyone know how to get the B columns out?
my friend and I started painting the A columns on his Evo today..unfortunately the cold weather caused it to crack as it was drying so we're probably gonna wait off to fix it until the weather warms up a little..or maybe we should sand it a little first or something to make the paint stick better..
most of it turned out alright, except for right down low near the tweeters.
edit: oh yea, and for those who dont think flat black fits right..we used a charcoal instead and it matches a bit better.
