When I launch from a dig I have about 11-13psi.... only limited by my 2 step launch control in the tune.

"If you have any kind of boost controller, make sure you drop the setting down as to vehicle will build a bit more boost (at least this happened to me). Then modify your setting till you reach your previous boost levels (I was building 25lbs on 91 oct after install, BIG NO NO…lol)"
Can anyone confirm this??? I'm gonna install an ETS licp soon and wanna know if i have to worry about messing with my manual boost controller (which is a scary idea to me as i am a noob with turbos and dont want to mess anything up). I just bought my evo about a month ago and mods include: greddy exhaust, megan racing down pipe, crower cams and supposedly tuned by AMS. I bought the ETS LP2 licp cause the ETS site says no retune is necessary if installed by itself (I have stock upper IC piping). So i thought itd be a worry-free install but now i read this! So can someone offer any more info on this?
Also, OP is completely wrong about being able to build significant boost in neutral right?

You should be fine. The only way that boost will be affected that much from a licp change would be because of massive leaks before the change. Watch your boost gauge for a change just to make sure, but that is not normal. This thread is from 2007, things have changed a lot.

Thanks for the advice. And yeah things may have changed, but theres no reason why the effect of a mod (using the same product) should yield different results now than it did back in 2007. But maybe youre only referring to change in terms of people's understanding about the car. But the OP did say he experienced that boost pressure change so that's why it got me worried.
