I have tried every method that i found searching and not one worked. I know it can be done on a IX because my friend did it but will not tell me how.
I want the fog lights on while the running lights are on. OR just be able to turn them on when ever.
Some one share the love and secret.

12V wire coming from parking light, needs to be connected to fog 12v wire. To make the connection complete, make sure fog's ground is grounded, and not through the switch.
Basically, cut ground from fog, apply to chasis.
Your by passing the the fog switch. So now when the parking lights have power, so will the fogs.....You might want to run a relay in there to keep from over loading the wires or fuse connection.

That’s a great idea.
Mike, I am sorry I WILL NOT share how I did it
because I don’t want to be responsible for frying your cars electrical system. Everyone tells me "just tell me I don’t care" BS cus it’s not something I can explain its something I have to do. so when I am under your car and pop your 40k MR electrical system is done for…
Its just not something I am going to do.
Mike do it the way, that guy said it will work fine

I have done mine much like this, however I installed a switch so I can turn them on whenever I want (that is if the parking lights are on)Originally Posted by DRFTKNGG

I put a bigger fuse in for my parking lights too. I have been like this for 2 months now.

That would be easy to add in. just run the 12 volt wire from the harness of the fog to one side of switch...other back to the light...voila!Originally Posted by KY

Find the relay for the fog lights.
Find the spade that is a switched 12V and send that to a fuse/circuit that is on when you'd like to have your fogs on.
Example, if you connect a wire to the switched 12V spade on the relay, and run it to your power window fuse...then anytime you are able to use your power window, you should be able to turn on your fogs.
