Need help with gauge install(wiring)

Howdy,

Ive been looking at these defi gauges im tryin to install and theres 4 wires out the back that i need to hook up to something. They are ignition, battery, illumination, and ground. Ive looked into the cavity back behind the radio and theres a electrical tape wrapped bunch of wires that im assuming leads to the ignition harness. Im thinking that i would tie the ignition wire to the little black and white wire, the battery to the big fat solid white wire, the illumination to the blue and white wire(accessory) and the ground to a bolt somewhere(unless theres a wire in that bundle i can tap for a battery ground). Referencing the post https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=75591 for wire colors. Does that all sound about right or do I have something screwed up in there?

Thanks

I installed my defi boost, oil pressure, egt & CU this weekend. I was referring to the wiring connection on these posts (below). It kind of works. I am having problem with the oil pressure gauge beeping when the key is at ACC now. I assume the orange wire needs to be rewired. If you don't have oil pressure gauge. The wiring as shown below will work for you.

Cool thanks, that worked out pretty well. I do have a oil pressure gauge, but its the new blue racer type and theres no warning beep on it so I didnt run into that problem.
