Folks at Focaljet.com have been changing their odometer LCD on their Focus' for a while now.

Here's the link for the how to.

It might work for the radio in the EVO and possibly the clock.

I'm personally holding out until someone offers reverse-indiglo guauges/guage covers for the EVO in blue.

hrmm..I'd definately like to see some pics of cars with these mods. The dash colors are one of the things that I'm really not so excited about in our car. Mostly because the radio doesnt match. Weird stuff..

They have other colors as well.

For those that are wondering what the red buttons on the radio with the blue LCD looks like. It does not bother me. I think it still looks much better than before...

You can use the 99-00 Honda Civic Si climate Control twist bulbs. They have the orange condoms and work great. Just go to the Honda parts counter. The Honda 96-98 defroster button has a smaller condom if you need that one.

Anyone happen to know the part number to get the light condom from the Honda dealer?

I went and asked for the 99-00 civic si climate control light, and they had no clue what i was talking about.... incompetent idiots... anyway, i did some digging and found a part number, that i will check today if it is correct.

part # 79609-s02-a01 "bulb neo-wedge"

After reading this post I desided that since my wifes OZ has a new stereo I would be the brave soul to see if you could also change the color on the lcd on the stock radio. So i followed all the directions in this post and found that the lights that light up the lcd are hidden under the white plastic surrounding the lcd. So i decided to take a small knife and gently cut off the right part of this piece where the bulbs are hidden. After doing this I found that there are two more bulbs under there with blue condoms on them. At the moment I am waiting for my red light condoms I ordered. So when they come in I will finish the job and try and post pics and an update. Im almost positive this will work Ill keep you all posted!

I knew there were two more lights under there, you can tell from the circuit board... I was just afraid to go digging for them. Good luck, sounds like you're almost there!

Lightbulb A Quick Tip

Hi guys, I like the idea of changing the display colors. I am a Subaru nut and have an Impreza. Instead of putting new condoms back on the bulbs, you can simply take a red permanent marker ( or any other color of your choice) and simply go over the bulbs with a couple of nice even layers. It works great for me and I see why it shouldn't work for you Evo guys. Hope this helps you guys and saves you some headache of chasing down colored condoms.

Also,

Go get some clear red tape, put it over the Radio LCD... and there you go.

Pep boys, or autozone sells "tailight tape" or somethin like that.... just an idea... careful not to get it too dark.
