Desoldering the bulbs that illuminate the LCD of the stock radio wasn't that tough to do. It took me an extra 15 minutes or so. I used red Testors model paint to color the bulbs. It works fine.

I'm trying to paint my bulbs.. Doing this without taking them out and painting by brush.. I took the 2 bulbs in the Temp controls out also and painted them with spraypaint..

I'll post up some pics once my bulbs dry and it gets dark out..

Looks a lot brighter and more red in person..

The speedometer is more of an orange red.. I'm going to try mixing a little orange in with the paint and put another coat on

Can u post a part # up for what you've bought?

The only thing I've found is the autometer boots which are huge.

I gave up last night after trying to get to the cig lighter myself... Hopefully I can get it taken care of after work today.

autometer light condoms are exactly what i use. and they work just great. buy them, from wherever. got mine from auto zone. when you put them in, shove them into the hole in the clear plastic where the light would be, then put the clear plastic back on. it will cover the bulb entirely, and matches the dash quite nicely. lot easier than trying to paint the bulb and match the color, which i decided against.

oh, yes i am aware the clock on my cd player is wrong, and so is the camera clock. didnt change the cd player back after installing my JDM headlights (must unplug power) and the camera time i havent set since i got it last christmas

the blue on the temp control is brighter in person, but is more of a purple-blue now. (i like it).

I hate bringing back really old threads from the dead but I've got a question. Anybody know the part numbers for all of the bulbs that are in the faceplace to include the LCD light? Instead of changing the light cover (condom) I'd rather just replace the lights with LED's (blue).
