Fuse Removal For Radio/Dome Light Help!

Hey guys,

I need help...My dome light/radio do not work I believe its the fuse...However the problem is if you open the engine bay fuse box the dome/radio fuses are located in a yellow casing.

I pull up the casing cant get to the fuses with the fuse remover...So I then get a flat nose plier...closest thing I have to a needle nose plier and still every timeI try to pull the fuse up it slips out and looks like it is damaging the yellow casing and the fuses the more and more I do it.

So I need someones help. What can I do to get the fuses out and why would mitsu put the fuses in a casing like that....

Some of the other issues are (which I believe are due to the fuses)...if my key is not in the ignition nothing works power wise. Locks...lights...even keyless remots alarm. But when the key is in everything works other then the dome light/radio and the keyless remote....I hope nothing other then two fuses needing to be replaced is the problem...I was installing my radio when this happened and put the power back on (battery) and then bang didnt work...Any help would be appreciated guys! Thanks! =)

Pull the yellow casing up it will raise but not come off. Then, you need to just take the pliers and give the fuse a little twist and it will slide right out of the yellow casing. Reinstall #10 fuses in spots 22 and 23 and push the yellow piece back down.

Hope that helps!

Thank you to those that contributed to this topic - I had the exact same thing that happened to mine, I had lost the clock, head unit and remote central locking on the keys but it worked manually. rechecked my poor wiring skills and everything was earthed and everything was still wired up correct.
Checked the fuse box in the interior and there were no fuses there in place and could not install any there anyway,
Checked the engine bay fuse box and as mentioned above yellow box surrounding the fuses I needed followed the instruction lift twist pull and the radio fuse was blown, replaced it and got everything back working again.

Thank you for this thread saved me a lot of frustration
