Defi Control Unit Install Help!

I've already ran the sensor wire through the firewall and its sitting on the floor of the passenger side, what I'm stuck on is how to remove center console to get to the wires that I need to tap for the Defi Control Unit...

This is the template I'm following:

red --> radio harness red wire
orange --> cigarette lighter brown wire
white --> light on ashtray red wire
(or white --> tied to orange --> cigarette lighter brown wire if wanted gauges light always on)
black --> any ground or cigarette lighter black wire

1. How do I get to the back of the cig lighter?

2. And, do I need to disconnect the power on the battery for this?

3. Does everyone just use the supplied red clamps for tapping the wires that come with the control unit?

to get to the back of the cigarte lighter I removed the whole center console( armrest, and center with shifter boot etc) thats how I wired in my radar detector. I am not sure if you can get to it this way, but that little cubby area under the radio has two screws on the top. If you look under it you can see them. pop those out and just pull it out. If I remember correctly you can see the back of the cig lighter. not sure if its enough room to work though. hope that helps. PM me if you have any more questions about taking that stuff apart.
