Angry Help Help, cant get this right

Hey I am putting in studs for the hotside, to connect to the o2 housing, and I cant seem to figure out which way the stud goes in, i know sounds dumb, put which side of the stud goes in the one with the long threads, or the one with the shorter amount of theads. and how do I tighten them up so they dont be come loose..

Shorter thread usually goes INTO the object. See if you can find some high temp thread locker and use that otherwise you should be fine as long as you don't leave them relatively loose.

ok, I got the hight temp thread locker, the problem i am having is that the stud when i put it in the bolt cant get on to the stud because it is too long, the o2 housing barley clears the stud
