How to Remove/Replace Tie Rod

So as you can see by the pictures I bent my outer tie rod, or that is what was tlod to me by several people. It seems to be the only thing wrong. I need to know how to remove it as I dont know whats behind the boot connected to the"steering rack" , dont know if that is what its connected to. any help would be greatly appreciated.

btw, Im not that bright so pictures would help me out greatly.

thanks

That's actually your steering rack end.

I offer no pics but if you can slide that boot off from the steering rack, you'll get an idea how to unscrew the "rack end" out from the steering rack. Some use a special tool but a pipe wrench always worked for me to get the rack end to unscrew.

Tip: turn the wheel all the way to the left if your working on the right front tire.

Rack end - aka. inner tie rod. same thing, different name. the problem im running into is after i have gotten the boot of that connects to the steering rack. i cant seem to get the inner tie rod off the rack. there is a joint but i cant seem to unscrew that joint to remove the tie rod itself.

any help...?

You have to unscrew the part that holds the joint in place. The big fat part towards the rack side.

If you have the new rack end on hand, you will know how it unscrews.
