Advice about damage.
So I walked out to my car after work to find this has happened at some point today. Of course no note and could not be seen on any cameras.
My question is what do I need to make sure is ok when I get it fixed.
I assume an alignment but I am not sure what is in that area under the bumper cover. The corner is pushed in about 3 to 4 inches and there is a scrape near and on the rear light. The rim is not damaged and the metal fender seems ok. The plastic part has become un-clipped from the metal.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Damn brother. That's some bad luck. I've been there. Previous car was side swiped from front to back while at dinner one night. Anyway... I've never taken the rear cover off, but looking at pics of rear bumpers removed and crash bars, I highly doubt anything was damaged. You should be good.

Thanks for the information. I did not think there was anything in that particular location but I have not had this car apart so I wanted some reassurance so I could sleep easier tonight.
Have a good night.

If there is no hole in the plastic, it looks like you can try and push it back out. The sides that popped out doesn't seem like there are any broken "hangers". I call those small oval shaped hangers because once pushed in those holes goes into a tab that holds the bumper in place.
Btw, Nova Scotia is a great place. Was just there this past May. Been going there for the past 4 years but all good must come to an end.
Good luck fixing it.

You don't need an alignment. Looks like it just hit the rear bumper cover. Only real concern would be damage to the supports behind it. Maybe a good time for an aftermarket rear bumper
If you can pop it out and re-paint you're probably talking ~$400. If you need to replace the rear bumper it's going to be well over $1k. Sucks they left you with that crappy bill when it was their screw up.

Thanks again for all the help. I am getting it looked at Monday. It is pushed in quite a bit so it must have been a pretty good impact, No hole in plastic so hopefully it can be popped out and mad e to look a little better, I would love an aftermarket bumper so depending on the fix price it may make good sense to my wife lol.
It is public as well as co-workers so most likely a well known good customer lol. Over the years I have had 4 cars damaged/vandalized in that lot. As suggested to me by someone perhaps it is time for a ****ty work car and keep the evo for the weekends.
Thanks again to everyone for the help
