how could I check for a short in the harness... and why would the car still be acting the same way now that it's uninstalled?

i believe to get the fuses out of the yellow holder...you pull up on it and it comes up a little but NOT out. then you have to open up the tabs on the sides of the fuse and pull the fuse out of the yellow holder.

okay, so we've narrowed it to the fuses in the yellow holder. But I am still confused on how to remove them. I can get the yellow thing to release part of the way, but then it's stuck. Do I then pull the fuses out with needle nose? Again, thanks for all the help. I don't know what I'd do without y'all. Probably go to the fdealer and get my warranty voided.

So it turns out that it was just a blown #10 fuse in that yellow casing in the engine compartment. It took a little creative prying with some needlenose pliers, but I got it out, put a new one in, and all the original functions are back to full capacity. I then disconnected the battery, and reinstalled the apexi tt. It works perfectly and I couldn't be more relieved (I know I'm probably an idiot for thinking it was something more serious). Thanks for all the help, gents. Now if I can just figure out how to program this thing... the directions are in Japanese.

Very glad to hear things worked out man The auto funtion on mine never once worked properly. The auto timer function is supposed to allow you to set a minimum and maximum time range for the timer. It is then supposed to automatically select the appropriate time from those two ranges. If anyone else has had this problem and figured out what caused it let us know. Usually just keep mine on the manual setting for 45 seconds.

^Sweet, but how do I even do that. I can't understand the directions. I played with it long enough to figure out that holding the stick to the left shuts it off, and to the right lets you set it, but I can't figure out the rest.
