Unhappy apexi tt just FRIED my Evo!!!!

Okay, so my evo isn't really fried, but here's the issue: I just installed my new apexi turbo timer and wire harness from lancershop.com. I hooked the harness into the wires in the steering column and ran the line to the e-brake, as well as grounded it in that great spot behind the radio. I did not hook up the line to the O2 sensor, and just twistied that one off. After installing everything, I turned on the car and turned it off to test. Sure enough, the tt worked and the car stayed on after I removed the key. It counted down and shut off.

Now for the problems: Immediately I noticed that the radio and dome light did not work (probably a blown fuse as i forgot to unhook the battery like a moron before the install). But also, no functions of the car work with the key out of the ignition that should continue to work (hazard lights, auto locks, keyless entry). I promptly uninstalled the tt, taking everything back to normal, and still the problem remains.

Here's the weird part, I went to change the fuse: both the radio and dome light fuse (22 &23 in the engine compartment fuse box) are fastened in a yellow holster that will not release. Has anyone experienced problems like this. Is this a fuse or breaker or something more serious. Help please!!!!

There was a scam going on around ~1 year where they were making fake Apexi TT. I am sure some might remember, lets hope this is not the case. Only thing I could think of is that you might of hook one of the cables incorrectly and caused it to burn.

Everything was hooked up correctly the first time (it was a plug and play installation) and everything was returned to it's original state afterwards, but still the automatic door locks, keyless entry, radio, hazard lights, clock, and dome lights don't work.

Check the main fuse that actually attaches to the negative battery terminal and the fuses held in the plastic yellow housing. Don't take this the wrong way but you just learned a cheap lesson on why you always disconnect the ground when working on your car's electrical system.

how do I get the fuses out of the little yellow plastic housing? Maybe I'm an idiot, but I just can't figure it out.

No offense taken, but let's hope it really is a cheap lesson.

Yep, those work realy well for this job. Also a nice, strong pair of slim long nose pliers.

these things would work well for a normal fuse (or the fuse puller that is included) but that yellow thing seems like it is connected somehow. Is there a release, or do i just yank it?

don't think so. It's strange, I've uninstalled everything and acts exactly the same. The weirdest part is, when I take the key out, the car has NO power (like the battery is disconected). The hazards don't work, auto door locks and keyless entry don't work, even the trip resets itself!
