A'PEXi auto timer install

You can pick one up over at vivid for $89 and like $30 for the HKS harness, which seems to be universal and top quality, installed mine yesterday, they have the cheapest price on this I could find, thing kicks major ***. Just follow the HKS install write up posted on the forums here for the most part. All you have to do is plug in the harness under the steering column for the ignition, run the wires, mount the acutual ecu module under the dash, I found a convinient spot in the upper left hand corner of the drivers side of the dash kinda below and to the left of the ac vent closest to the drivers door if that's any help. Run the grey wire to the parking brake sensor wire, run the black to the chasis ground coming out of pin 13 on the stock ecu harness, and the white wire to the o2 sensor wire coming out of pin 76 the stock ecu harness, I think that wire is blue. Then again if you don't care about the auto timer function or the o2 level function and just want to use your manual settings for cool down time, just ground the unit (black wire) somewhere to the chasis, hook up the parking brake safety sensor (grey wire) and nevermind hooking up the o2 level sensor (white wire with some red dots or something), I love mine. Oh and the locking system stays locked and even honks the horn when you lock it just as if the car was shut off, was a worry of mine because I hadn't heard if this was an issue or not. Good investment.

Does anyone know which wires need to be switched in the Apexi TT harness ? It is made for a 2nd gen Eclipse but I have heard switching 2 wires in the harness (alternate and constant power) it will work perfect in the Evo. Just trying to figure which wores are alternate and constant ? I would imagine constant is red but what color is alternate ? Anyone that knows, please help ! Thanks !

I don't think Apex has a harness out for the Evo yet. I think the wire problem you mentioned is related to the Greddy 2nd gen harnesses. I think it was Mad Vlll who brought that up. I have the Apex tt w/a Blitz harness and it works fine.

oh OK, when I got my harness for the Apex tt, they (Apexi) didn't have a harness available yet. Sorry for misunderstanding.

it is my underdstanding that the O2 sensor wire is white... If anyone has a definitive answer, it would be great to know if i hooked it up to the correct wire. Other than that, its an incredibly simple install.

i just found this sight, number 76 is the O2 sensor wire for the front of the vehicle. it is the 6th wire from the left on the top row on the far right clip. I hope that this helps.

Thread revival, need help.

Just installed my Apexi tt with a greddy harness but am having trouble with the locks unlocking and alarm not arming once the key is taken out and the motor finally turns off. Any suggestions or tips for getting around this?
