I just installed this unit in my car. For those who don't want to drill through their roof, I mounted the antenna forward on top of the dash (under the windshield). It picked up the sat's just fine.
I just set the start/finish line and went out. The lap timer only shows the last lap time until you come across the finish again. I want to see the thing counting, and hopefully I can change that in the settings somehwere.
