Replacing oem Oil temp

I was wondering if it was possible to use the wiring from the factory guage (oil temp sensor) for the new guage.

I had bought these for my STi before it was totalled:

thats not a bad idea, but i was wondering if i could reuse the factory wiring or if i could wire the new guage to the the factory sensor.

Sorry I don't have input on the wiring. But, I do have a question for the original poster. I watched your video...what type of gauge holder is that with the single gauge in the far left corner of the dash?
