Wastegate Actuator Arm re-installation

Hey guys I just finished up the Megan Racing 02 housing installation and I'm in the process of putting my car back together. I cannot get the Wastegate arm back onto the flapper, there's a lot more room to work now with the PITA POS lower heatshield gone. Am I supposed pull on the wastegate arm and force it onto the flapper? This is the last thing I have to do and it's really pissing me off that I can't get the arm hooked up and can't drive my car.

Please help guys!

Thanks

After searching, Mad VIII suggests "To ease the process of getting eyelet back on the flapper, use some compressed air on the actuator input, this will push the rod all the way out so you can slide it on easy as pie" I hope this works and I'm posting this so whoever needs help will search and find this thread.

I used a long prybar on top of the fan shroud (pivot point) down to the back side of the turnbuckle of the wastegate actuator. Put minimal pressure on the prybar and it extends the wastegate arm towards the flapper mounting point. You may have to guide the eyelet somewhat, but it works like a charm!

while u r down there u may want to adjust that wastegate arm a little. make it a bit longer. if the arm is so short u might get a boost creep at high rpm most of all now that u have an o2 housing.
