HKS SSQ install help

I got my SSQ today and I am about to install it. I ran into a few problems though. First things first, I'm going to be VTA and I purchased this flange here . So I went into my car and took the stock diverter out. Here's the hole leftover from my AEM intake here . On the stock diverter, I have the little rubber thing that AEM supplied to attach the diverter to the intake here . So if i'm VTA'ing, do I still need to attach the underside of the HKS bov to the intake pipe? If so, is the rubber piece supposed to fit on this side of the BOV? bottom

Thanks for all your help!

If you want VTA setup. Plug the intake hole . There should be a metal plug in your SSQV kit.

You need to attach the HKS SSQV to your intercool pipe, not the intake pipe. Don't mix it. Intercool pipe mean the pipe from the intercool to your engine intake manifold.

BTW, getting the snap ring into the flange is fxxxing hard. Make sure you have a proper snap ring tool for it.

Mine didnt either. A temporary solution is keep the stock BOV where it was but disconnect the vacuum line and attach it the the HKS SSQV. It should work a a plug temporarily till you can find a better looking one. I was able to work the O-ring without using the appropriate tool, but you have to really be systematic and force it in there. I am sure you can go to autozone and they have one available to use for you on the spot (the tools they rent out).

hmmmm... well ****. any ideas on what I can use to plug it? I won't be able to fit the HKS and the stock both in there for sure... :/

edit: actually... could I take that little rubber thing, put that on back on the intake and tape it up or something?
