B&M short shifter
B&M short shifter
Just wondering about the B&M short throw shifter for the evo..is anyone using it and if so lemme know what you think of it..30% less throw in shifts sounds yummy..
took like 20 or 30 minutes taking my sweet *** time, I always hate when I have to remove the center console, fickle I know but would just rather be doing something else, throw is better, you'll be smiling your *** off while you're driving it for the first time, I got mine from Evilution for $100 when he sold his Evo for his G35, I would recomend it after doing some basic power mods, it's a nice way to treat yourself, and the included shift knob looks nice as well.

I had to cut the stock shifter to install the new one. It was kind of hard to shift when I first got it, I would miss gears some times, but now there is no problem. I think it is worth the money.
No cutting involved. I just had to but a replacement retainer from the stealer. Install took 30 mins and make sure you go "extra" on the lube - makes shifting easier/less notchy. I love the knob that comes with the shifter. It's more "beefy" that the teeny golf ball on the stock shifter. (Screw the knob down first) and then put the emblem on so it reads straight.
I think it does a good job of correcting the 1st and 3rd gear shift mistake when starting from a stop.

I installed mine last niight. I had to cut the stock shifter in half to get the plastic top retaining piece. That was the only hard part. Other than that it took me about 45mins. How did other people get that top plastic piece over the welded part? I said screw it and cut it in half. But other than that it works really well, and helps out a lot
