I made my own, Might sound ricy, or cheap, but i went and bought 2 45* Spectre 4" Pipes, 2 4" Couplers, and a K$N 4" Filter. Been running for 3yrs now, with no problems and only a slight rub when i had my stock radiator fan in.

When we install them we leave the silicone leg as long as possible and put the aluminum tube in it as far as possible.

Keeping the silicone as long as possible helps keep the unwanted heat that the fan pushes, out. And pushing the aluminum tube in the silicone as far as possible will help keep it ridged.

Is there any way to support this "kit" or does the filter just lay there and flop around in the engine bay?

When folks convert to SD, are they eliminating the recirc. function of the DV (and just venting into the engine bay)?

Yes, it's no longer necessary as air gets measured at the IM.

OP, I have a 4" intake complete with filter that I had on my GT3076. Check my threads. I ship quick!
