Installed AMS underhood bushings 1st and 5th are ????

Greetings EvoM!

Just recently installed the AMS underhood bushings and shifting from 1-2-3-4 are smooth and "buttery" while shifting into 1st and 5th feel a little "sludge-like." (Shifting into R is very smooth/"buttery") Wanted to know if others had the same result? As far as I know, I installed everything correctly. I searched for possible effects of changing out the bushings and noticed that everyone stated theirs came out buttery and had nothing but praise, few people said to lubricate the bushings while others have said AMS's aluminum bushings need no lubrication.

Prior to the installation, my shifting into 1 and 5 had been somewhat smooth w/ no issues. Just recently swapped out my tranny fluid so the only thing different would be the bushings. I'm not getting any lockout. It just seems as if I have to exert a little more effort to shift into 1 and 5 although the shifting is smooth. If anyone has any sage advice on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lam

Just installed these as well and 5th gear is extremely tuff to get into , haven't driven the car yet but 1-4 is butter. 5th and reverse are significantly more resistant.

Pull your reverse sensor out and see if it goes into 5th and reverse easier (don't start the car or you'll loose a bunch of gear oil). If so then you need a thicker washer.

OP. I don't have anything to offer that might be helpful. I just knew I might be helpful with ^
