Does anyone know why??
OK... i was driving my EVO on the freeway (not driving hard) and all of a sudden the car dies for like 2 seconds. the charging system warning light and the oil pressure warning light comes up. i got home and i checked the oil and it was all good still. The only mod i have is a BLITZ BOV. do u think thats causing the problem? and how can i fix it. i heard that sometimes a hose might be loose on the BOV and would cause that but i wanna know some people's suggestions. I dont want to take it in to the dealer cuz they'll ***** about my warranty being voided with the BOV.. well hope u guys can help me!!

well its probably cause your running the bov vent to atmosphere im assuming! their are like 10,000 posts on this . you cannot run the evo with vent to atmosphere because it makes the car bog or stall, also with what happend to yous it sounds like you need to tune the bov also im selling a forge recirculating valve for 90 $ if your interested = P this one will make a nice sound if you have a open air intake etc etc, and wont cause the problmes your having now = ( . im selling cause i purchased aem ems and converting my maf sensor to map so i can run vent to atmosphere = P i would be down to trade also = P

Recircluation and Atmosphere venting
With a stock BOV or even an after market BOV you will remove the recirculation tube that runs from the BOV to the MAS/Intake. If you remove that with out first adjusting the spring on the BOV there will be issues with the car stalling.
Anyway atmosphere venting is when you remove the recirculation tub.
I suggest you either put the recirculation tube back on, or, adjust the pressure spring on the BOV.
Drive the car for a bit, the ESU will need to learn its air ratios.
This happened to my 95gst when I put in my Greddy type S and thats what I did to to fix my issues.
( Did you cap up the hole where the circulation tube attached to?)

Silver Cap
Yes there a number of ways to do this. The best way is to buy the silver cap that is ment for it. Please don't mistake the hole on the BOV for the hole on the MAS/intake. I am talking about the hole on the MAS/Intake.
