Question Need help with Greddy Type S

I was on my way home from filling my car up and I came up to a stop sign and all of the sudden my car just stalled out. I am pretty sure it has to do with my Type S bov. I am not sure if I should have the two springs in it or if I should take out the smaller spring and leave the bigger one in. As of right now I have both springs in, also I have the lower nipple of the bov plugged up this is the right thing to do right? This is really frustrating because I have switched back to the stock bov two times I just want to get the Type S adjusted perfectly and not worry about stalling out anymore. I have spent endless hours doing research about this to but I can get it right. Can someone please

Thanks
Michael

Just remove smaller spring.I just installed the same one yesterday
and has been working great,no stalling, very stable idle, even at
-5 degrees.Oh ya,are you vta or recirc?.This info only pertains to
recirc,as far as vta is concerned,do a "search",have not heard many good comments on vta except for the "woooooooosssssh"
sound it makes.Like our cars dont draw enough attention with that huge CF wing on the back.Hope this helps.

Awsome info

Do a search for greddy type s. There is an awsome write up by Silver Surfer on 5-26-03. Read it, you will be enlightened.

its sounds like your VTA

I have the same bov and havent had any problems

You must recirculate in order to have a smooth running car

Does the type-s BOV still have the high pitched sound when its recirc or is it muffled, and I'm new to the boards whats the difference between recirc and VTA.

knowledge

Recirc means that you have both of the big 1 1/4" hoses hooked up. One of these hoses from the intercooler tubing by the battery and one on the air intake - between the air box and the turbo.

You should also have the 3/16" vacuum line on the purple cap hooked up to the hard vacuum line that runs up by you valve cover and the other vacuum line either capped off/plugged or spliced in to your vacuum solenoid below your air box between the solenoid and turbo.

This is the best!

OR

You can VTA (vent to outside air) VERY VERY LOUD whoosh when you shift. This would be just one of the larger ports on the BOV (type-s) connected to the intercooler tubing and the other loose. Vacuum line would be the same. You would have to plug the intake. If you are running and aftermarket intake you may have to use this configuration. NOT the best. You will also hear more noise with a K&N filter or an aftermarket intake.

Hope this helps. Agian READ silver surfers thread! it helps.
