Good write up, you may want to mention how much of a pain in the *** that one 8mm nut is (need a swivel socket). Also, the pictures are way to small to be any use.

Good effort,

Keith

There are two black sheets of metal under the rear seats. I know the fuel pump is located behind the driver's seat, but what is that thing behind the passenger seat?

It's a few things, but we'll just call it the floater assembly for the fuel gauge to keep it simple

Does anyone have any problems with the aftermarket pump overrunning the stock regulator and putting unecessary stress on the injectors?

Next you need to unhook the lines on the car. Use pliers to slide the clips back. Once these are unhooked, take off all bolts that hold the pump assembly down. You can now twist out the assembly. A small amount of gas will drip once you pull it out. Its OK.
That has to be the funniest paragraph in your whole install explanation! Should say "strugle for 15 min twisting and turning this son of a ***** 5" round disk out of a 4.5" square hole"

I ask you guys, did some engineer decide to make people working on the car cuse like sailors just for fun or was there some other justification for this debacle? If that damn square plate was just .5" larger in each direction the f'ing pump assembly would lift strait up without any trouble!

its not P/C to bash someone for trying to get info out there that will help some newbie out. Especially if the same person(s) doing the bashing have not posted anything of there own.

on DSMs, we would cut part of the sheet metal to get the fuel pump out..

it says that you will not notice any worse gas mileage but then it also say you will "just" notice for fuel being pumped faster. Wont more fuel make your mileage worse. Can anyone with this pump contest to teh gas mileage and if so do you have something to tune it with? i have the profec e-01 and emanage combo. Will that be good enough or will you even need to tune it? Will it run rich if you just installed it without any fuel control.
