Hey There!

I was just wondering if I need to make any modifications (eg: Welding) to my Kinugawa TD06 Twin Scroll Turbo if I use a 38mm Tial External Wastegate with it. If it makes any difference, I have got a Greddy Profec B Electronic Boost Controller currently installed as well. My current setup (That was performed by the previous owner) uses the external Tial Wastegate on the stock turbo where something has been welded up shut? Sorry for my newbie ness. Just making sure I completely understand what to do or if I need to make the same modifications for it to all work together....

Weld the flapper shut and get a header with wastegate port.
I don't see the benefit of this exercise and wasted money though.
