Power Steering fluid level?

Power Steering fluid level?
2005 Evo VIII 5 speed: what are the conditions to check the power steering fluid level to see if it is properly between minand max? Running or engine off? Hot or cold? I am used to myGMC truck having a Hot line and Cold line, not a min and max line.

Check it when the car is warmed up and the fluid is hot. Shut the engine off but check it once it is warm.
