so i was just looking at some advice as to what to do . i dont want any issues developing from my decision because ill be driving it extensively soon.

i had to put in the mishimoto rad and with my current manifold i have come into the problem of what you see, its touching.

im thinking of cutting it, but i dont want to make the hose tighter from point to point if thats the wrong thing to do.

 

What you need is an evo VI style radiator that way the upper hose is essentially a straight shot to the thermostat and it wont be so close to your manifold.
