--does this unit work without the screen? i bought this system with out the screen and i was wondering if i could still use it. i got it for near nothing and want to put it to use, just dont know how. everything is hooked up, just dont know if it'll work with out the screen

 

now im considering getting one. any other thoughts on its functionality? is it easy to read, is the menu easy to navigate, other thoughts, etc?
