Question Best location for oil catch can

Guys, I trying to determine the best location for an oil catch can? I have the older syle rectangular shaped GReddy can. The space in the engine compartment does leave me alot of options, if any?

I stick mine right below the strut bar next to teh battery, I fabricated a mounting point to do it but quite easy, I paid teh Turbo Trixx guys to do it, it fit nicely....

Where ever you put it, make sure it is lower than the valve cover. I have seen many people with a hose full of oil and an empty catch can

Why would you want it lower? The object is'nt to fill the can.

The can is there to hold oil.... The idea of the can is to keep that oil out of the intercooler. If you put the can lower than the valve cover, gravity will help keep the tube clear of any oil blockages.

If you have enough pressure the oil will push through the hose and into the can. That's why the second hose is hooked up to a vacume. Put some brillo pad in the can so it will secure the oil.

Lets see if you understand it this way.

If I take a hose full of beer and hold one end up to a bucket above my head, and put the other end in my mouth is the beer going to flow into the bucket or into my stomack when I open my mouth?

Gravity is a *****!

get a small battery kit then put the catch can next to it.since there will be room next to the small battery after changing it.
