i did a little research and found that in order for me to do a Evo8 to 7 body conversion i will need to bolt off the crash bar. problem is, i don't know what the crash bar is. does anyone know what this crash bar is? i dont want to take off a part that would make my car a complete tin can.

Also, are there any other problems i might run into while doing this conversion?
I just love the Evo7 look. I am planning on buying Evo7 front and rear bumpers and also the Evo7 hood.

Nice conversion but the aerodynamics will be less... less cooling to the motor also...

in a simple way to say it... the crash bar is that metal bar behind the bumper... only in the US spec evos for the 5mph impact...
