Need to kno how to wire rear speakers
Need to kno how to wire rear speakers
Ok here is the thing.. i bought soem 6.5 inch speakers from fryz and i was wondering how do you wire it to the rear harness thign that was taped down.. This is for the evo rs i dont kno where to wire the speakers to.. well if anyone has done an install with aftermarket 6.5 speakers to teh rear let me know plz..
Same here my RS has the a four wire connector with the following coming in
1[2[3[4
Clip facing down wires facing away
1 Black
2 Blue-White
3 Black-White
4 Blue-Yellow
I figure that it 1/2 and 3/4 are the sets that go together. I don't know which is positive and which is negative. I looked on the non-evolution forums to see if they had a posting that talked about this rear shelf mounted speaker harness but there wasn't anything there.
I was going to check a dealership and look in the trunk of some Lancers to see if I can find that harness and figure it out.
Anyone know the answer out there?

I continued on my work tonight and the answer is..................
Remove the rear shelf speaker covers and under each, next to the speaker opening, you will see what looks like a big adhesive bandaid patch. The rubbery tape is holding down the speaker connectors. Just remove the tape, apply your harness adaptor and/or splice in your wires from there.
Easy as pie.
I guess I need to apologize to Crutchfield because I thought they sent the wrong adaptors and I cursed them as I went to sleep last night.
But they were
correct. So sorry Crutchfield engineers where ever you are.
Now the only problem is that they speakers from my previous ride are suppose to fit but don't so back to the radio stores.
