ACD Tool

As I was changing the clutch on my IX, I got stuck on the bolt that is caged in by the ACD line. It's cramped and there is no room for leverage to break the bolt loose without damaging something. Searching around the site I found a couple of ideas but none worked. The bolt was super tight! I came up with this:

Its just a short 3/8 drive extension welded to a 17mm box end wrench. It only took 15 min to make . Perfect for removal and installation using a torque wrench without disconnecting the ACD line. If you have a ACD equipped EVO, and are attempting a clutch install, i would highly recomend making yourself one too. It WILL make life easier. Just copy it and your set. The only catch, you need access to a welder. Hope this helps somebody.

or you could've just clamp and removed the acd line to get to that bolt.

Ever hear of a crows foot? About the same thing but an open end and not quiet as long of stem before the socket attachment.

lol! or a dogbone? It's exactly what you made but it's not welded in, it has female end to insert a ratchet or an extension. Good thinking though, you could have made a lot of money with this if you were born some 80 years earlier. j/k

When its late and you cant find what you need, cheap tools and a welder come in handy.
