I am attempting to install a JVC KD-NX5000 into my Evo 9, however I am having trouble understanding the instructions.

what I am having difficulty with is step B, and step D. I have already located the VSS wire in case people are wondering.

My question for step B is which wire do i splice into for the reverse light, or will any wire do?

And for step D, where is the wire I splice into for the parking brake lead?

I really need help with this.

PS. been using the search function for three days with no luck. Pictures would help greatly. If it makes more sense, I will pay someone VIA paypal for the correct advice; $25.00. This should help motivate some people, or at least I hope.

Did you post this thread somewhere else? I swear I answered this question yesterday. Exactly worded the same and everything?

 

For Step D, you need to remove the center console with the cup holders. There's two screws inside the storage bin. Remove those screws and lift the whole thing up. Once removed, look at the base of the e-brake. You'll notice that there's only ONE wire running to the e-brake. Tap into that one wire.

 

BROWN (+) wire for the reverse light found in the DR. KICK panel.

BLUE/RED (-) wire for the parking brake found at the E. BRAKE or you can ground it with the ground wire from the stereo.

WHITE/BLACK or BLACK/RED wire for the SPEED SENSE in the data link connector found UNDER DR. DASH
