some one pls help!!!!!!

I'm trying to connect a fog light on my car right now........
basically I have 2 questions!!!!

1st One:

http://www.xterraparts.com/inst/999KT-FLSWH_2.html

see the part that says.....from the splice connector to the low beam lead......where can I locate this lead?

2nd question:

how do you ground the wires? is it just connecting the ground wires to the metal body part of the car?

help will be appreciated

is a Low Beam LEAD like the low beam light or is that something else? b/c if its just the light you could do a search... also try doing a search because im sure someone else has had this question or trouble installing fog lights.

good luck, i hope you solve your problem

* i plan on buying fog lights soon as well.. so hopefully your question will get a good answer *

Please, PLEEEEAAASE name a thread with an appropriate title (something to let us know what's inside). No wonder people skip over this thread, they don't even know what it's about. Also, bumping a thread because you didn't get a response in 6 minutes? I'd appreciate it if you use a little more descretion next time. For now, I fixed the title... and this will give you a free bump so you should get some responses soon. Thanks!

Ok... to answer the first question... the low beam lead is the wire leading to the 9007 harness that carries the power for the lowbeam. If you want to operate the fog light with the low beam tap into that wire... on the driver side 9007 harness it's the red/blue wire (im pretty sure). If you want it to operate independent of any light, just wire the low beam lead to any constant 12V source or simply connect it to the positive lead of the battery.

As for the 2nd question... ground to the frame of the car, pretty much any bare metal on the car. Painted metal doesnt ground well. Usually you dont want any ground to be longer than 2.5 feet. So the shorter the ground wire the better.

I hope this helps.

Get a plate to cover the cubby hole and put the switch on that.

Put inside your car. There should be a spare space for you to put the switch on.

Any stores i can look at? Im looking for a set of round fog lights with that like black grill like thing that makes them look like for off roading i remember somebody had them on his black lancer i dont remember the name.

i also have a question about fogs.....where are you guys mounting them? inside the grille? in the "fog light" on the stock OZ bumper? Do they poke out and look dumb? I tried mounting a pair (without drilling holes to amke sure they fit) and the didnt fit well anywhere. Does lancer make lights that fit well somewhere? you can PM me if you wana.
