Appreciate the input everyone, I know it's a pretty straight-forward fix, but sometimes people have some creative ideas.

Did you try yelling at it?! Oh and throwing stuff usually doesn't work either, but I still do it!

I gave your yelling strategy a try, but to no avail, the bolt just taunted me back.
(and then warned me to leave it alone, or it will taunt me a second time. Must be french?)

I finally have the downpipe out (my dp has alot of bolts and wires, 2 Wbo2+Cutout), Im looking face up at the bolt, theres got to be a way to get this thing out! Even when I do, Im not sure the factory spring bolts will work. I did however find my exhaust leak!
Im going to get a then try the vice grip method, if that doesnt work its dremmel a slot and use a flathead time.....

If any other ideas come up, please do inform

you should be able to tap it out.... if you get a hammer and skinny rod shouldnt be too hard...

We had to do this on a friends car... Its time consuming but came out pretty easily...

The bolt is literally inside the hole. There is mabye 1mm protruding on the bottom, the top is less than flush. Cant see a hammer coming into play there unless it is with the rod+tapping it out idea noted above.

Ahh I see.

I guess Im going to attempt to dremmel a flathead slot. Hopefully the buildup near the housing isnt flamable!!

Update: The slot cutting wouldnt work because the disc's were too large, I suppose Ill go to the hardware store tomarrow and get an extractor tool... argh

I was certain that would've worked! Damn frenchy bolt!

I'd say carbide reverse drill bits and an extactor will take thread it out. Oh and keep douching it in some kind of penetrator!

Thought about that, but I would have to get it towed, and if I do that it would completely negate all the "DIY" effort I have put into the car. My other car is quick, but unfortunately I did none of the work myself (except oil and simple things), I really want to do this one myself. Im not the most handy person, so it's a learning experience.

I just thought of something...

Would it help if you torched the bolt and turned it at the same time?
