HOW TO: Bleed Your Lifters
Everyone says to bleed your lifters when you install cams but there is no how-to on it. now there is
Tools:
paperclip
all the tools needed for cams
Forward:
I am assuming that you have removed your cams. If you haven't done this go here:

Note* I recommend bleeding each lifter one at a time and keeping the order the same
Step 1. Remove the rocker arm from the top of the valve and lifter. this just sits on top of the valve and lifter and isnt held in by anything.
Step2. remove the lifter. This can be a little tough, just pull on the top of the lifter untill it pops out. set the lifter aside. you should not be able to push the head of the lifter down at this point.
Step 3. Insert the paperclip into the lifter head. the paperclip must go down at least 1.5" untill it unseats the ball valve in the lifter. It can be a little tough to get the ball valve to release. Once the ball valve is released you will be able to pump the head (teardrop) of the lifter.
Step 4. Turn the lifter upside down with the paperclip still inside. Proceed to pump the head of the lifter until oil squirts out of the lifter (approx. 6 times). You should now be able to push the head of the lifter down with your thumb relatively easy.
Step 5. Lube the lifter with some fresh motor oil and reinstall the lifter into the head. reinstall the rocker and reinstall the cams.
Step 6. When you start up the car the head will be very loud because there little oil in the lifters. start the car, let it idle for 30 seconds, then rev it up to 3000 rpm and hold it there for 10 seconds, let it idle for 30 seconds, then rev it back up to 3000 rpm and hold it for 10 seconds. repeat this untill the lifter noise goes away (approx. 10-15 times)
Step 7. enjoy your tick free valvetrain
