Hawk HPS Pads Squeak?!

bed them in properly?

i put some semi-metallic pads on mine and i get an occasional squeak or 2...i repeat the bedding process...

I have HPS pads and they squeaked real horridly when I'd barely tap them (like when you are going slow and pull into parking spot). didn't really bother me... I tracked my car for the first time - squeak gone! Go out and slam on your brakes for an hour or two, will clean that right up

No squeaks here so far, had them on for less than 100 miles though, I'll see in a couple of hundred if they do or not.

Mine have made noise pretty much since day one. I had my rotors turned before installation so who knows. They are ok break pads.

The Hawk HPS I put on our Integra don't make any noise at all. They do, however, dust like a ****. So much in fact, I want to replace them with something. I think you should have turned the rotors, used more anti-squeek compound, and broke them in properly.

squeaking

two easy fixes.# 1 replace the rotors with some power slots #2 put some titanium shims between the pads and the calipers.either way you will spend close to the same money.
