IX MR Exhaust Question

Hey guys,

I am trying to put on a new Greddy Evo 2 exhaust today, but when I got under the car I noticed that it doesn't appear as though my car has a secondary O2 sensor, just one that I saw going straight into the cat.

Is this normal for the IX MR?

Thanks for your help...

Update... as of right now I just put a bolt in the secondary O2 bung so that the exhaust is sealed.

Still confused though. I am the second owner of this car so I am not sure what it is going on with that...

No the MR is no different than the RS or GSR there. The previous owner removed it. Is there a check engine light?

Huh... Nope there isn't a check engine light. I know that it was tuned by Dyno-Comp with a TBE (w/ test pipe), High flow fuel pump and drop in intake.

When I was looking under there, it looked like there was a rubber grommet that looked different from the others. So I pulled it off and there was just the underside of the carpet there. Not sure what it going on there...

this is 100% normal.

VIII's had the secondary 02 sensor in the midpipe, IX's are in the cat section.

if you have an VIII exhaust, just cap the bung.

Ok. That's what I did.

Just strange though that the secondary sensor would be IN the cat...
