Newbie mechanic trying to install an oil pressure guage onan '03 Evo VIII. One site recomended taking out one of the two hex screws near the filter in the oil housing and screwing in a 3/8" to 1/8" reducer, then screwing the pressure sensor into the reducer. Problem I'm having is the male threads on the reducer don't seem compatible with the female threads in the housing. I don't want to force it. Should I even be discussing US measurments on Japanese metric vehicle? Like I said I'm new to this stuff.
