HOW TO: Install Accusump

1. Find a place for the accumulator. I could only fit it in the trunk. Make sure you use the Canton brand clamps and only clamp at the end of the tube. Otherwise the clamps can constrict the internal piston.

You'll need to choose a valve type, manual or electronic. All the fittings are 1/2" NPT.

The hose needs to be -10AN.

2. Route the hose to the oil filter housing. If you use braided stainless know that it will cut through anything it touches like a saw. So wrap it with rubber tubing at contact points.

3. Remove the rear plug of the oil filter housing with a 8mm allen key on a socket wrench. A hand held wrench won't cut it. install a 3/8" NPT to -10AN adapter.

4. Cut hose to length and hook it up to the filter housing.

5. Fill the accumulator with 60 psi of air and check for leaks on the air side.

6. Drain the air pressure to 10 psi.

7. Start the car and let it run for 30 seconds with the valve open and fill the accumulator.

8. Turn the car off and shut the valve (directly)

9. Check your oil and add a couple quarts, since it's now in the accumulator...
