Take apart the rear evo 8 wing? can it be done

Not just take it off the car but take it apart completely. i dont need the sides just the middle CF. Can this be done?

^ I'd like to see proof of that.. I've NEVER seen one taking apart for shipping. Not an OEM one anyways. Sounds like BS to me.

The Evo IX wings come apart. I'm almost positive that the VIII wings do not though

Yes, the evo 8 wing comes apart. I have done it several times, and there are other members here who have done it as well. The carbon fiber part of it is all ONE piece (middle and sides, there is no separating them), and the painted side pieces come off for a total of 3 pieces.
