i just bought an hks oil cap for my evo IX and i was wondering if there is anything else i have to do to keep make it lock. the cap goes straight in but keeps turning and never locks. what else am i suppose to do. thanks

 

Does the bottom of the HKS look like the bottom of the OEM cap? You may have gotten the wrong cap.

 

no. its missing the little part that locks it down like on the OEM cap. and the store said it was for all evos. i was thinking maybe i had to take off the lock from the OEM and put it on the HKS some how.

 

Return it and save your money.The stock cap is perfect.

you might have got a fake one. mine HKS oil caps goes straight on and don't like. fits perfectly. I bought one only because my stock one started leaking
