Installing prosport gauges... help

I've been trying to install these darn gauges and have researched a WHOLE lot. Nothing seems to fix my problem.

So i have 3 60mm prosport PERFORMANCE series gauges. Boost, EGT, and Water temp. Now im only installing the boost gauge for now, but connecting all gauges to light up. So i have all of the red wires connected, all of the white, orange, and ground. I got them to light up, switch colors and all of that but here is the issue i am faced with.

With the boost sensor all connected and grounded, when i turn the key they all light up white except for the boost gauge. The boost gauge lights up a dim red color. BUT if the ground for the sensor is not connected, i turn the key and they all light up white. So ground = dim red, and no ground=bright white.

When I turn the headlights on, they ALL turn amber. No more dim red for boost. it becomes amber like the other 2. I've been talking to prosport and they said i had a old/bad boost sensor so i ordered another one. Just got it in and installed it and sadly still the same.

Another thing i should add is that the boost gauge and egt gauges are pegged at full scale. PRosport says this means it doesnt have a good ground but i am sure it does. And if it didnt how come the water temp gauge isnt pegged? I never take my car to shops to have work done because i like doing things myself and knowing what is up with my car. But this has been making me so frustrated because its such an easy task, yet i cant do it.

Any information would be great!

It may be an issue with the ground. Wherever you have it grounded take a dremel or some sand paper and make sure you have a good bit of bare metal showing.

Other than that I couldn't say without seeing it myself. Maybe post some pics of how you have everything wired?

It seems to me like the issue lies within the wiring not the sensor. What are you using to make your connections? Solder or crimp connectors? Where are you connecting to for your ground/constant power? The prosports changed color depending on which of the wires are connected to power/grnd. Draw up a sketch on how you have all this done.

Does anybody know what color wires do I tap into? I am assuming that I tap into the harness that goes into the radio for power of the gauges right? What color on the radio harness do I use for power and lighting?

Thanks,

Get a simple circuit tester and use an add-a-circuit to tie into fuse panel it is a much cleaner install imo.
