How to Install Rear Wiper Plug
How to Install Rear Wiper Plug
How to install rear wiper plug purchased from n1nj4 m0d3:
Time needed: 10-30 minutes depending on working speed
Tools needed:
Ratchet
10 mm socket or wrench
22 mm socket or wrench
Needle Nose Pliers (optional)

What you'll have left after the install:

Total weight savings: 1.6lbs
Installation Steps:
1. Remove rear wiper

2. Pull up wiper cover to expose 10 mm nut that holds on the wiper arm.

3. Remove 10mm nut holding on rear wiper and remove rear wiper

4. Remove 22mm nut holding holding the wiper motor assembly to the nozzle and washer assembly.

5. Open trunk and unplug the rear wiper motor. Then remove the 3 10mm bolts holding on the motor assembly.

6. Remove wiper motor. To do so you have to slightly close the trunk and pry on the trunk torsion bar. Also to remove the wiper motor you have to disconnect the wiring from the mounting assembly. To remove the wiring I used a needle nose pliers and pushed on the two ends to pop it off.

7. Next remove the "nozzle and collar assembly." You will have to remove the washer line from the assembly.

8. Remove the rubber "packing and washer assembly." To do this go inside the car and pull up on the rubber assembly and it will slide out.

9. Insert wiper plug.

You could be done now but I did 2 extra steps to make a little bit "cleaner" install and make it easy to install the rear wiper in the future if I wanted to. I installed a rubber vacuum cap over the end of the washer fluid line. This way just in case I accidentally hit the rear wiper button it didn't spray fluid all over my trunk
. I also zip tied the rear wiper wiring up to the trunk light wiring so it doesn't hang down.
Step back and enjoy!

Great plug and would recommend it to anybody looking to clean up the rear end of their evo!

Thanks guys, hope it helps somebody out!
I will weigh the items the next time I am at home and update the original post. Probably doesn't weigh very much but something that would be nice to have in the original post!

I did mine for looks mostly as I planned on going wingless someday and do not like the look of a rear wiper with no wing. Also my wiper never really worked correctly so it was nice just to get rid of it.
It didn't save much weight, less than 2lbs, so I don't think most people do it for the weight savings. Every little bit does help though
