How big or thick are the marks? Clay bars work great on finer contaminants but on thicker stuff, I'm not sure it would. When that's the case, I usually use a steam cleaner (the type for your clothes) and soften it up a bit and peel it off.

A good auto parts supply will have a quality clay bar kit. Use as instructedand no need to rub had, let the clay do the work.

Clay bar is good for finer things...I have always used 3M detail products thats what most detailers use..

If the clay bar doesn't work, try some rubbing compound. They have a mild abrasive that can take off stuff like that.

I'm telling you, try that steamer I mentioned earlier. Cost about $25 at Walmart/Target. Works great. I original purchased it to remove my tints before I got re-tinted again. Works like a charm.

Clay bars will almost take stds off the hooker. Standing on the corner so be careful using them if u have a good brand. I used a carbrite clay bar to get off little rust spots on the rear aka" rail dust" from the brake pads and it started to take the paint off as well.

i use the mothers claybar kit, do it in a shaded area, so excessive spray from the applicator for the claybar kit doesnt dry before you get a chance to use it, if your gonna use rubbing compound use it after washing but before you clay bar it. The rubbing compound will do a better job of removin foreign material on your paint, then itll be a bit rough after the compound, then go over it with clay bar to make it smooth like a strippers butt...haha, then after you claybar go over it with a good wax kit like mothers...then you should be good to go.
