Hey im driving an Evo 9 SE and unfortunately it did not come with fog lights on it..
the light fixture for the fog lights is closed off and i was wondering is there a conversion kit so i can install fog lights or should i just buy a whole new set of headlights with a fog option opening??

if there is a way to install fog lights can someone supply instructions or any recommendations and opinions?!?!?

I think u need new lights. sounds like you have rs lights

 

is there any real difference between rs and se headlights?? i got the car used and i dont see why they put switch them to the rs lights..

 

cause they sold the headlights and left you with the RS/base GSR lights.

sucks, but the only way you can get fogs is to buy new headlights.

 

Are your low beams HID?

 

yeah right now i have xenon HID's for highbeam i just have regular halogens and my fogs are non existent lol

also wondering since i dont have the fog set up are there already plugs for like adapters and such so im able to put fogs on??

 

If you have a SE, then you just need the correct headlights. All the plugs needed are already there.

 

well actually on the headlights the fog light part is sealed off.. does that mean i have to customize it or should i just buy new headlights with the fog option??
cuz right now it doesnt have the part where i can insert the bulb its just completely sealed off...

 

If that's your car in you avatar and it's white from the factory.. You do not have an SE. They didn't make WW SE's.

As stated before, if your fog holes are blocked off.. You need different headlights.

I was going to ask if you were sure the car was really an SE, and not a GSR.

WW is the paint name: weightless white.

 

i wish they made ww 9 SE's. im stuck with my gg SE but i have foglights. YAY.lol yea looks like your car is not a SE. Do your seats have red stitching on them or if you can tell ur roof is aluminum?

 

Well the only red stitching on the seats is the recaro part so think my car is jut the standard model.. Now since I have to buy new headlights are all the plugs or adapter in the car already?? And if I can get the fog lights how do I turn them on in my car?? Wheres the switch?? Lol

 

If you do have gsr model with fogs the switch should be on left side of the steering wheel right under the vent. Hopefully you have it and don't have a base gsr.

 

In that case I guess I do have the base model =\ there is no switch there.. Just empty boards and then the light brightener =0 bummer
