Help!!!what size tires

I need help!!!!i just bought some enkei rims for my evo 8. They are 18x8 however im not sure what size tire i should purchase. My suspension is stock. Should i run with 235 45 18 or something smaller or bigger. Please help

widest possible. im running 255/40 stock wheels

how wide are the stock BBS IX MR Wheels? I would love to try and fit 255/40 on for autocross

I'd run a 245/40. 255 is a little wide for 8" imo.

I'd have to agree. A 255 on a 8" rim is a little to wide and allow the sidewall to flex a bit when cornering.

point taken ^ . plus the 245/40 series should be a bit easier on my wallet too.

I have 255 on the stock wheels, they are wide but not to bad.

the tire shop is telling me to use 225.. i would hate to buy 225 and not work. im think im going to run with 245 40...thx

245 40 done. You do not want to go less than 235 stock width.

I agree 245 width, 255 is too wide for an 8" rim imo and 225 is stretching...

245 width would be your best bet imo, or a 235 width direzza star spec (these tend to measure wider) with a 40 or 45 sidewall
