I'm installing a 13" SPAL HP fan to replace the AC fan behind the intercooler. My question is; there are two connectors coming from the fan controller: one is clearly ground (one black cable); the other has two cables going into the connector( one black with a yellow line and the other a complete white cable). The SPAL fan has one simple ground cable and one red power cable.

How do I splice these cables?

btw; I'm controlling both fans with the ECU and I want to keep that capability.

 

I'm assuming yellow line cable is for the AC fan switch in cabin and the white is ecu control depending on parameters?

Don't mean to dig up an old thread but did you find a solution? What fan did you use. I have to change that fan.

 

It will blow wired either way, need to determine which way you want air flow and wire it up that way.

 

I'm thinking a relay on each wire and then join the output to function like an "or" circuit while isolating the 2 sources.
