The snorkel is the most restrictive part of the stock intake system. I'd choose the bumper hose feeding an enclosed box for a pressurized system.

I would agree. but utilizing both intake snorkel and bumper funnel system together is best for at stop and driving conditions.

I just converted to a 4" SD intake and this heat shield no longer fits my setup. It's still in great condition - anybody want to make an offer?

drb, can you post up the dimensions ect so we can basically copy it to cardboard to fit and then to aluminum for final product?

I just moved the entire air cleaner (and maf) out of the engine compartment completely.
