Confused! GM 3ports vs Grimmspeed 3ports Ebc's

Hello fellow EvoMs

Im running Hallman mbc and want to switch to 3ports ebc.

I have ecuflash and evoscan already.

I believed GM ebc is good for diy tuning as per google search and everything..

But where i can order the GM 3port and harness for my stockish connector?

Ive searched via google but it gives me the year 2007 diy version where you gona solder the pigtail and evrything..

What are you guys runnin right now as far as 3ports ebc?

Any help will ne appreciated..

Thanks

I use the gm 3 port personally. Mr Fred did a ton of testing and this solenoid is the best in terms of response and what not. You can order the solenoid on eBay for really cheap or I'm pretty sure stm sells them also. For the pigtail I just went to a local junk yard and pulled the connector off of an old GM windshield washer bottle. It's the same plug and you can find it on ANY gm washer bottle pump. I found an old gm van and used that one because it had a ton of extra wire on it. Then I just soldered the connector into my stock wires and used heat shrink over the soldered connections for protection. Polarity doesn't matter, you can wire up the pigtail either way to the stock wires. Then check out the thread on here for tuning the new solenoid. Good luck. A lot of ppl use the grimspeed because its plug n play (minus tuning) but Mr Fred found the gm to be more responsive.

If you want to add the gm 3port to stock wiring then spoolinup up makes a great pnp harness with the resistor soldered in already. You can pick up the solenoid from him as well I think but his work is top notch, and fair priced.

Mr Fred has proven that the resistor is not necessary and actually slows down the solenoid's response time. Just a heads up. Most ppl are not using a resistor anymore.

i went from an aem tru-boost to a grimspeed 3 port and noticed the boost came online smoother as well as the tuner having more room to work his magic.
